Ito’y makaraang akusahan ni Pangulong Duterte na pinagkaka-perahan ni Senator Richard Gordon ang PRC, bilang Chairman nito.
Sa kanyang talk to the nation kagabi, ibinulgar ng pangulo na matagal ng ginagamit ni Gordon ang pondo ng red cross sa political agenda kabilang na ang kandidatura ng Senador noong mga nagdaang halalan.
