Bumiyahe na patungong New York, Amerika si Pangulong Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Junior, para dumalo sa ika-77 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Kauna-unahang pagkakataon ito na makikipag-ugnayan si Pangulong Marcos sa international body at unang beses na bibisita sa us bilang pangulo ng Pilipinas.
Makakasama ni PBBM patungong us ang kaniyang first lady na si Liza Marcos, ilang miyembro ng gabinete at business leaders.
Sa departure statement ng pangulo sa NAIA terminal 2 sa Pasay City kaninang umaga, inalatag ni PBBM ang mga paksang kaniyang tatalakayin sa un high-level debate na gaganapin sa September 20.
“I will be delivering the national statement of the 20th September, in which I will outline our expectations of the United Nation and the work I have, the role our contribute like, and our contributions to strengthening the international system.Taking this into account I will once share the Philippines vision in people centered development, highlighting the administration, transfer economic recovery,food security,and agricultural productivity.”
Maliban sa pagbibigay ng national statement, makakapulong din ng pangulo si UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at iba pang lider maging ang pagdalo sa ilang business activities.
“During this visit, I will meet with UN Secretary – General Antonio Guterres, and leaders of long standing and important partners of the Philippines, I will discuss with them opportunities with stronger cooperation, in food security, agriculture, renewable energy and climate change which are among the 3 prioritize of the administration, I will also participate in business activities, deforg or partnership to advance our national economic sustainable development in general.”
