PATAY ang dalawang detainees matapos pagsasaksakin ang isang pulis at hinostage pa si Sen. Leila de Lima sa PNP Custodial Center sa Camp Crame sa Quezon City kaninang pasado alas-6:30 ng umaga.
Ayon kay PNP Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr., sinubukang tumakas ng tatlong Persons Under PNP Custody (PUPCs) na sina Arnel Cabintoy, Idang Susukan at Feliciano Sulayao Jr.
Sa initial report, binanggit na pinagsasaksak ng tatlo si PCpl. Roger Agustin na ngayo’y nasa kritikal na kondisyon.
Isang “PCpl. Matias” naman na on-duty ang rumesponde at nabaril sina Cabintoy at Susukan na sinasabing ikinamatay ng mga ito.
Agad na tumakbo si Sulayao sa selda ni de Lima at hinostage ito.
Mabilis ding tumugon ang PNP Special Action Forces at sinubukang makipag-negotiate sa suspek.
Dito na pumasok ang tactical team na naging dahilan upang ma-neutralize si Sulayao.
“Senator de Lima is now safe while the police officer who was stabbed was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Three PUPCs were all neutralized and SOCO is now at the scene of the incident,” wika ni PNP Public Information Office Chief PBGen. Roderick Augustus Alba.
“Tension inside the detention facility has been defused and the situation has returned to normal while investigation is ongoing to review the security protocols inside the PNP Custodial. That is all we can tell you at the moment. We will keep you posted of other developments as more information becomes available.”
Kasabay nito, ipinag-utos na rin ni Azurin ang malalimang imbestigasyon sa insidente.
