Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Cesar Chiong personally met and commended the honest airport security guard Albert Bautista of lockheed security assigned at naia t2 traffic sector.
Airport General Manager Cesar Chiong handed to Albert Bautista a letter of commendation from MIAA, GM Chiong said that the authority values the exemplary honesty of Albert Bautista.
Bautista was patroling his area at NAIA T2 traffic sector when he found the blue trolley bag unattended, although the area is not covered with cctv he still chooses to return the unattended trolley bag by informing Capt. Vic De Leon NAIA T2 airport police commander.
De Leon immediately initiated the proper protocol for unattended luggage for routine bomb detection that turn out negative, initial inventory the unattended bag contains about 1.5 million pesos cash and personal belongings of Maluso, Basilan mayor Hanie Bud.
Airport police Capt. Vic De Leon were able to communicate through mayor Hanie Bud Facebook messenger that immediately went back.
Airport General Manager Cesar Chiong said that Albert Bautista has once again proven that airport personnel are honest people and with the proper protocol of instituted in handling unattended or left behind items, nothing will go wrong, “ i urge all my fellow public servant here at our airport to emulate the honest deed of albert bautista and rest assured passengers will always be safe whenever they are here in the Philippines” Chiong said.
Albert Bautista, married with children is receiving minimum wage only as contractual security for 11 years at the airport, inspite of a minimum wager, he never think of keeping for himself the unattended bag containing P1.5 million pesos cash of Maluso, Basilan mayor Hanie Bud. —istorya mula kay Raoul Esperas (Patrol 45)
