An Airbus 321 Aircraft of Philippine Airlines flight PR1816 was forced to return to Davao International Airport late Saturday afternoon after it experienced presurization on the aircraft.
Eric Apolonio CAAP spokesperson confirmed that the Airbus 321 flight PR 1816 took off Davao international airport after more than hour delayed departure schedule of 3:25 Saturday (January 14).
The commercial flight instead departed at around 4:34 pm but a few minutes after take off the pilot on command called the Davao control towere and requested to return to Davao international airport.
Pilot initiated a fuel dump prior its return to Davao and safely landed at around 5:48 late Saturday afternoon
Cielo Villaluna PAL Spokesperson confirmed that the commercial flight did return to Davao due to technical problem.
As of this writing there is still no update on the status as to when will PR 1816 resume its flight to Manila, Villaluna added that once the technical issue is resolved the flight will resume.
PR 1816 has an original schedule to depart Davao at 3:25 saturday afternoon but due to technical problem it returned to Davao at 5:48, all affected passengers and crew are waiting at the departure area of Davao.— mula sa ulat ni Raoul Esperas (Patrol 45)
