Kinoronahang pinakabagong Miss World Philippines si Laura Lehmann sa ginanap na coronation night sa SM Mall of Asia Arena, kagabi.
Ang 24-taong gulang na dating UAAP courtside reporter ay nakatakdang irepresenta ang bansa sa Miss World 2017 pageant na gaganapin sa China.
Abot langit naman ang pasasalamat ng dalaga sa lahat ng mga sumuporta sa kanyang laban.
“Maraming maraming maraming salamat po. I heard all your cheers here in the arena. It gave me power and the energy to perform. Maraming, maraming salamat po. I will make you proud.”
Tumatak ang naging sagot ni Lehmann sa question and answer portion kung saan tinanong siya kung ano ang kanyang mensahe sa mga hindi naniniwala o walang bilib sa mga beauty pageant.
“To anyone who don’t believe in pageants, I would ask them to take a look at the girls tonight because we have lawyers, architects, women of substance who are here not only because of what they look like but because of what’s in their hearts, what’s in their mind, and because what they’ve brought forth beauty with a purpose. they’re helping represent the Philippines and become the best version of the Filipina and for me that’s something only to celebrate.”
