Pinadali na ng pamahalaan ang pag-access sa libreng gamot program para sa mga mahihirap na Pilipino.
Limang pampublikong pagamutan sa Metro Manila ang binuksan para sa libreng gamot makaraang lumagda ang DSWD o Department of Social Welfare and Development at mga pampublikong ospital sa isang memorandum of agreement.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, kabilang sa mga binuksang ospital ay ang Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital, East Avenue Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center at San Lazaro Hospital.
The libreng gamot program has been implemented in five Metro Manila Hospitals.
Five additional public hospitals in Metro Manila started providing free medicine to indugent patients and that was starting August 1.
A total of 96,659,339.76 has been given to 13,142 indugent patients by the initial six partnered hospitals located at Regions 3, 6, 7, 11 and NCR.
