Nagpahayag ng suporta si National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Major General Jonnel Estomo sa panawagan ni Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos sa lahat ng heneral at full-pledged colonels sa Philippine National Police (PNP) na magsumite ng kanilang courtesy resignation.
“The appeal to submit courtesy resignation magnifies the strong commitment of our SILG and CPNP PGEN Rodolfo Azurin Jr. to make a fresh start and win the war against illegal drugs,” ayon kay Estomo.
Naniniwala rin si Estomo na ang radical approach ni Abalos sa mga opisyal ng PNP ay makakaapekto sa internal cleansing program ng organisasyon at makatutulong sa pagpapaigting ng mga ground operations.
“As the Regional Director of NCRPO, I hereby lead the Team NCRPO generals and police colonels to render our courtesy resignation to His Excellency, President “Bong-Bong” Marcos Jr through the Chief PNP and Napolcom Chairman/ DILG Secretary Abalos…for the best interest of the country,” dagdag pa ng NCRPO Chief.
