VOWING to continue working and directly bringing his message to the people until the last day of campaign period, presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Wednesday pledged to address the perennial power supply problems in Occidental Mindoro after he wins in the scheduled May 9 elections.
Marcos said he is convinced that the fastest way to bring the province to greater progress and development, is to ensure continuous supply of affordable power which in the process could stimulate trade activities and commerce in the province.
“Natanggap ko ang listahan ninyo, sa Occidental Mindoro ang inaalala ng tao, number one kailangan ang susunod na administrasiyon ay makahanap ng paraan na bawasan ang singil ng kuryente sa taumbayan para makita natin na hindi masyadong nahihirapan ang mga tao,” he said.
“Balita ko dito madalas ang brown out. Kailangan nating ayusin yan, napakalaking problema niyan,” he said.
Aside from addressing the electricity problems, Marcos also vowed that he will fully support agriculture, health and education programs in the province.
The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer also visited the party’s headquarters in the province before going straight to the UniTeam rally site at the Capitol Grounds where he was warmly welcomed by their supporters.
For his part, Governor Eduardo Gadiano said the province will give 101% of its support for Marcos.
“Napakaswerte natin na tayo ang unang binisita sa Mimaropa. Ang Occidental Mindoro ay 101% na sumusuporta sa ating magiging presidente, Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos,” he said.
Gadiano said Occidental Mindoro is one with Marcos as he brings unity throughout the country.
Marcos thanked the people of Occidental Mindoro for the warm welcome he received from the people.
Supporters but his speech by shouting “Panalo ka na!” and “Hindi kami bayad!”
“Nagpapasalamat ang lahat ng UniTeam at tsaka ang tambalang Marcos- Duterte sa mainit na suportang ibinibigay niyo sa amin ngayong araw na ‘to,” Marcos said.
“Napakalakas ng suporta ng Mamburao, ng buong Occidental Mindoro para sa UniTeam. Kami po lahat ay nag-iikot sa buong Pilipinas at aming sinisigaw at dala ang mensahe ng pagkakaisa” Marcos said which made the people roared “BBM”.
He said the UniTeam’s message of unity has finally reached Occidental Mindoro.
After the event, Marcos went to the next UniTeam rally held in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro where he also met with thousands of supporters
