BATANGAS CITY – THE UniTeam tandem of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte are the candidates who can lead the country in the years ahead, Batangas Gov. Hermilando “Dodo” I. Mandanas said Wednesday.
“Halos sa buong Pilipinas ay nauunawaan na ang BBM-Sara team ang tunay na makakapaglingkod sa ating mga kababayan, at sila ang mag-aayos talaga ng ating pamahalaan na matutukan ang mga pangangailangan ngayon,” Mandanas told reporters in an ambush interview after accompanying Duterte in her dialogue with the province’s health workers from the Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines (ANSAP) at the Provincial Capitol Auditorium here.
Mandanas cited the message of hope, healing and unity that the UniTeam candidates have been spreading.
“Sila ang nakikita ko na mayrong kakayahan at pinakamahalaga ay mayroong pananaw na sa panahong ito ay kailangan talaga tayong magsama-sama, magtulungan, hindi ‘yung kastiguhan at laging hilahaan pababa. Kailangang itaas natin ang dangal at talagang kilalanin ang kakayahan ng mga Pilipino, at dito kailangan natin ang mga namumuno na yoon ang pananaw, sama-sama tulong-tulong,” Mandanas said.
Mandanas and other provincial leaders have earlier decided to support the BBM-Sara tandem.
The Batangas governor said the May 9 elections are about choosing the candidates who have the capability to lead the country.
“Ang pinag-uusapan dito ay pumili ng tunay na maglilingkod sa bayan, maka-Diyos, maka-tao, makabayan, at talagang nagkakaisa, kung sino talaga ang may kakayahan,” he said.
The UniTeam vice presidential candidate had visited the province at least twice in the course of the election campaign.
Other Southern Luzon officials have likewise thrown their support to the BBM-Sara team.(END)
