Matapos ang pagsabak sa Miss World competition noong 2016 ay nakatakda namang i-representa ni Catriona Gray ang Pilipinas sa Miss Universe stage.
Ito ay matapos koronahang pinakabagong Miss Universe Philippines 2018 si Gray sa ginanap na coronation night sa Smart Araneta Coliseum kagabi.
Katulad ng inaasahan ay pinahanga ni Gray ang mga hurado at manonood sa kanyang naging winning answer.
Si United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim ang nagbigay ng katanungan kay Gray kung saan hiningi nito ang kanyang mensahe para sa mga kababaihan sa Marawi.

As women, we’re the head of household and we have amazing influence, not only in our own families, as mothers, sisters and friends, but also in our community.
