The unprecedented transformation of the country’s political and economic makeover under President Rodrigo Duterte overwhelmingly welcomed and supported by Filipinos who have been wanting for a major change for decade
These fast-paced developments sweeping the country from tiny Batanes of North Luzon to the colorful isles of the Badjaos in Southern Mindanao stimulated the need to create an avenue to bring and convey such information to the people.
With his experience in the dissemination of significant news on national issues, former Press Undersecretary Robert T. Rivera is reviving a public service radio and TV programs he hosted for five years while serving in the Arroyo administration.
PILIPINAS NGAYON NA!is the new program which will be aired starting June 5, 2017 every Monday and Wednesday, 12:30-1:30 PM, not only on radio but also with video coverage over DWIZ 882 website dwiz882am.com
“It will be a novel teleradyo program, which will broadcast and relay to our kababayan what the Duterte administration is doing for the good of the country,”said Rivera, who will be assisted by his younger sister, Lolly Rivera-Acosta, a veteran journalist and former director of the National Press Club and president of Manila International Airport Press Corps.
“We will also discuss the true issues and solutions to problems on education, health and social welfare, particularly for our marginalized 17-million indigenous people.”Acosta said for her part.
“When one is armed with the knowledge of what is true, then the truth will set us free from all our burdens and we can propel to progress,” Acosta added.
