“Compared to the last election this is not a circus like. No one who calls himself “Lucifer” filed for a position. I think that generally the candidates here that filed were quite earnest in saying you know, I want to file my candidacy for senator because I’m qualified and I want to be heard about reforms in government what I would like to do.”
“We are on going of our local source code review and after this filing there will be moto propio cases for nuisance candidates and we are going to cleanse only those qualified candidates. That will be heard mabilisan because we are going to cleanse it by December 15. Some party-list and political parties are still pending it’s already out for resolution so we are going to decide it also. And for party-list, if their party-list is denied they will not be considered as candidate for party-list.”
“The midterm election is very important presidential election and the Senate. The Senate is the institution where…no offense to the House of Representatives where big fights happen. So, midterm elections we have to encourage the people to come out and vote because the senators are very important in our democracy.” Ani Guanzon.
