Inilabas na ang September 2016 cover ng men’s magazine na FHM Philippines tampok ang hinirang na “Sexiest Woman” na si Jessy Mendiola.
Ibinahagi ni Jessy sa kanyang Instagram account ang black and white photo cover kung saan makikitang nakasuot siya ng one-piece swimsuit na may caption na: “Hello September, finally.”
Sa isang article sa website ng FHM, sinabing humakot ng kabuuang 589,792 votes ang sexy actress para makuha ang titulong “Sexiest Woman”.
May ilan mang kumuwestyon sa pagkakapanalo ni Mendiola ay hindi naman nagpatinag ang dalaga.
“Why do we want to pull other people down instead of helping each other up, and especially among women? Can you not look at it in a very superficial way? Don’t we already live in the year 2016? What happened to the ‘change’ that everyone says is coming? Let’s make it happen.”
“But then you plant yourself on the ground again and look at the people around who are there to support you, and they tell you your strengths and weaknesses, they build you up again. And I think for me, that’s where I get my strength.” Pahayag nito sa isang interview.
