Hawak na ngayon ng San Jose del Monte (SJDM) City sa Bulacan ang panibagong Guinness World Record para sa “The Most Number of Living Figures in a Nativity Scene”.
Binasag nito ang naunang record ng United Kingdom (UK) na mayroong 1,254 participants na kung saan, nakapagtala ito ng kabuuang 2,101 na mga kalahok sa nasabing kategorya.
Ayon kay SJDM Rep. Florida “Rida” Robes, ang tagumpay aniyang ito ng lungsod ay pagtupad lang sa kaniyang ipinangako nuong Disyembre a-20.
It’s just one of the ways for SJDM communities to come together and celebrate their collective faith. We offered our win as humble birthday gift to Pope Francis and the rest of the Christian world. This is also our way of reaching out to people of other faiths. Through this, we can show them that we just want to reach out and connect with our fellow Filipinos as we highlight the spirit of giving and selflessness this season,” ani Rep. Robes.
Magugunitang nagdiwang ng kaniyang ika-83 kaarawan si Pope Francis noong Disyembre 17 na masugid na tagapagtaguyod ng pagkakaisa ng Sangka-Kristiyanuhan na adbokasiya rin ni Rep. Robes.

Maliban sa “The Most Number of Living Figures in a Nativity Scene” record, pinanghahawakan din ngayon ng SJDM ang Guinness World Record for the “Largest Lantern Parade in the World” noong 2017 kung saan, aabot sa 14,173 ang lumahok.
