“I’m racing against time, the MILF is in a hurry and has placed on us the burden of a timeline and I have agreed to that period, I gave my solemn promise and I assure you that I’m working hard to meet the deadline, kaya ako this week I will be in conference with everybody and after that I will go back maybe to talk to Misuari again if we can come up with an arrangement to arrive at a last thing.”
“So itong hinahabol ko po na sana maabot ko this year, it has to be this year because ‘yun ang usapan, kakausapin ko si House Speaker Alvarez at Senate President, sasabihin ko sa kanya Senator Pimentel remember that we have a commitment to the Moro people but at the same time we’ll have an arrangement with everybody, I don’t think that with the MN, MI and government or in joint venture with government can go wrong, we will see to it that justice is applied every day that fairness is observed, ‘yan lang ang maaasahan ninyo sa akin.”
“Let me state for you on the record, sinabi ko sa MI, MN pati sa inyo lahat ngayon that there will be no regional armed forces or police, I will not agree to that, kasi kung isa lang tayong Pilipino bakit ka magtayo ng army? ‘yung army ko army mo, yung police ko police mo, if you want to feel it more acceptable, I can assign, we have a lot of good soldiers.”
