Ginawa ng Presidente ang pahayag makaraang mapaulat na nais munang i-review ng Ottawa ang kasunduan bago ito aprubahan.
Sa isang press conference sa Davao City, binigyang diin ng Pangulo na mas maiging maghanap na lamang ang gobyerno ng ibang pagkukunan ng mga helicopter at huwag na itong ituloy.
Sinasabing nangangamba ang Canada na baka gamitin bilang ‘attack helicopters’ ang labing anim (16) na Bell helicopters na bibilhin sana ng Pilipinas mula sa Canadian Commercial Corporation.
