Posibleng lalong matakot ang taong bayan sa federalismo sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni House Speaker Gloria Arroyo sa Kamara.
Ayon kay dating Bayan Muna Party-list Representative Neri Colmenares, hindi malayong i-manipula ni Arroyo para sa kanyang interes ang pag-amyenda sa konstitusyon.
Ipinaalala ni Colmenares na bagamat mayroong ipinasang draft ng bagong konstitusyon ang consulltative committee na binuo ng Malacañang, nasa kamay pa rin ng Kongreso kung gagamitin ang draft na ito o hindi.
Sinabi ni Colmenares na sa 9 taong pagiging presidente, nakita ng lahat na isang mapanganib na political figure si Arroyo.
“Speaker Arroyo is a very dangerous political figure, everybody knows Gloria Arroyo, she’s been fighting for term extensions and staying on the power for so many years na, we’ve seen through her more than 9 years in the government that she’s really capable and she has done those things, she really attempted Cha-cha before to extend her term, she attempted so many times to change the constitution for her benefits.” Pahayag ni Colmenares
