Walang dapat ipangamba ang mga estudyante sa pagpapalabas ng listahan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ng mga unibersidad at kolehiyo kung saan aktibo umanong nag-rerecruit ang Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army CPP-NPA.
Ito ang tiniyak ng Malacañang kasunod ng pag-alma ng ilang mga unibersidad at kolehiyo na napabilang sa nasabing listahan ng AFP.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, walang nakakaalarma sa ipinalabas na report ng AFP dahil bahagi naman ito ng kanilang tungkulin.
Hindi na rin aniya bago at kagulat-gulat ito pero tiwala naman aniya ang pamahalaan na hindi sinusuportahan ng mga eskwelahan ang anumang aktibidad ng CPP-NPA.
“None of the schools I think will openly endorse such a recruitment. And of course, this recruitment is undertaking in a secret manner so it’s not as if they will have a booth for students to enlist to become members of KM or CPP-NPA. But let’s face it, they are recruiting it is not a cause of worry it’s just a statement of fact but we have no doubts that none of the schools are openly supportive in such initiatives.” Pahayag ni Roque.
Tiniyak din ni Roque na hindi magkakaron paglabag sa karapatan ng mga estudyante dahil sa pagpapalabas ng nasabing listahan.
“Dalawang taon na po ang presidente wala naman pong pinapaaresto kahit sinong estudyante pa no, so pabayaan niyo sila. Ang presidente nga po napakataas ng tolerance sa freedom of expression. I think we have to give credit to the president, he’s not bothered. Ang ayaw lang niya yung mga dayuhan yung nag cicriticize sa kanya, yun nagagalit siya.” Ani Roque.
